Why is the multiplication of church planting movements a must for our Great Commission efforts?

In this episode of Missions Pulse, David Joannes interviews Justin Long about Movements, Multiplication, and the Great Commission.

Justin Long is the Director of Global Research for Beyond. He has served for over two decades as a missionary researcher and has worked to some degree with nearly every major research effort, including Operation World, The World Christian Encyclopedia, and Joshua Project. In his role with Beyond, he serves the Global 2414 Initiative by tracking movements around the world.

We are talking about scaling our missional and missionary efforts to advance the Kingdom of God on the earth; or more poignantly, to speed the return of Jesus and see Revelation 7:9 fulfilled: every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne of God in Heaven.

The affect is disciple making movements; the effect is church planting movements. Justin Long shares about a number of global movements that are rapidly growing and ushering in scores of people into God’s Kingdom. But he also warns that we as the body of Christ must stay ahead of cultural trends and population growth.
