Missions Pulse, Episode 20: Dan Scribner

Defining the yet unfinished missions task, the beautiful mosaic of over 17,000 people groups, worship from every tribe, the growth of population and religion, why nearly 2 billion people have yet to hear about Jesus, and why fulfillment of the Great Commission is within reach.

Missions Pulse 20: Dan Scribner

1024 576 David Joannes

God has made a beautiful mosaic of over 17,000 people groups each with the ability to glorify Him in a unique way. The problem: worship does not arise from among tens of thousands of these tribes. In fact, There are more people alive today who don’t know Christ than in any other time in history.

After 2,000 years since Jesus walked on the earth, billions have still never heard of Him before? Why is this still a reality? What causes such a breakdown in our evangelistic efforts? What should be the Church’s response to unreached peoples?

These are the questions that remain at the surface. But before we answer these questions, we must first define the yet unfinished Great Commission task.

In this episode of Missions Pulse, David Joannes interviews Dan Scribner, team leader at Joshua Project. This conversation is not just about crunching numbers, but finding the value behind the statistics. Jesus left the ninety-nine for the one. He still desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance.

It’s time that we realign our hearts with the heart of God and focus our efforts on those who remain beyond the scope of our evangelistic efforts.
