Ravi Zacharias Gives Christian Leaders A Serious Soul Check

“Anyone who thinks he has arrived in a leadership position by virtue of their own capacity is not fit to lead.”

That’s how Ravi Zacharias begins his thoughts on who is not fit to be a Christian leader in ministry.

We are called to serve. That is the heart of Jesus and that is what will bring glory to God.

I am challenged by this short message. Though it is simple, I also find it profound. These are the reminders we as ministry leaders need to hear more often.

Ravi concludes with this powerful thought:

“God is able to bring you to a place of where he wants you, and the best way to get there is to be an imitator of Christ, not a manufacturer of some sense of celebrity in yourself. If you are humble, God will use you. If you are arrogant, he will know how to break you.”

God, give me the grace to be humble; to recognize that you grant strength to lead; to know that I am a small part of the big thing you are doing in the world.
