Missions Pulse 2: Bevin Ginder

1024 576 David Joannes

For the past 200 years, protestant Christians from countries like England, Canada, and the United States have sent out the vast majority of missionaries around the world.

In the year 1900, these Western countries sent out 89% of all Christians missionaries while only 11% were sent from other parts of the world.

The radical shift in missions today is that the former mission fields are becoming the new missions force.

The Center for the Study of Global Christianity did a survey about the worldwide missionary task force. In 2010, out of the 400,000 missionaries that were sent out internationally, nearly half of those were from the Asia, Africa, and Latin American countries. With this new transformation of the complexion of the global missionary task force, many new tensions have arisen.

In this episode of Missions Pulse, David Joannes interviews Bevin Ginder about why majority world mobilization matters. Bevin is a missions mobilizer, cross-cultural missionary, and the co-founder of GlobalCAST Resources.
