My Live Video Broadcasts With A Missions Focus

David Joannes
I am passionate about using technology to its utmost potential for the sake of the gospel. That’s one of the reasons I call myself a Missional Starter and Creative Artistic.
Over the last month, I have been experimenting with Periscope and Blab, two new video broadcasting mediums. I’ve come to love the engagement of connecting with people live while sharing personal experiences based upon a missions or missional related topic.

There’s not a lot of missions related live broadcasts out there. My goal is to bring the topic of unreached people groups to the forefront of Christian conversation.

I started on Periscope, and was immediately hooked. While I am doing a scope, people can join live, chat with me and send a little digital love my way in the form of hearts! But because each Periscope broadcast is deleted within 24 hours of the live broadcast, I’ve had to use katch.me to save my archive.

Here’s my Periscope broadcasts on katch.me/davidjoannes.

Then I heard about Blab, and my whole live video broadcasting perspective shifted.

I love the even deeper potential engagement of Blab where people can join me live, chat with me, give props (Blab’s version of digital love!), ask related questions and even video call in to join my video broadcast (up to 4 broadcasters the same time). Blab also saves all my broadcasts and allows me to schedule upcoming broadcasts.

I will be using Blab for all my future live broadcasting.

So here’s what you need to do to watch and join me live:

Go to blab.im
Sign into Blab with your Twitter account
Follow me on Blab
Subscribe to my scheduled broadcasts (if any)
Watch my broadcast replays

I invite you to join me for my next live broadcast. Watch. Listen. Chat. Engage. You can even call in! I’d love to hear your thoughts on related missions topics.
