Ako Ay Pilipino is Tagalog for I Am Filipino.

Ako Ay Pilipino is a movement that seeks to stir up patriotism, passion for true freedom, and prayer that leads to the destiny of the Philippines.

It aims to influence and challenge Filipinos to love God, fellowmen, country and the environment (MakaDiyos, Makabayan, Makatao, Makakalikasan).

Ako Ay Pilipino desires to uplift the spirit of the Filipinos by bringing clarity to their true identity and destiny.

In August 2009, as Ako Ay Pilipino began to form, our country was going through a series of dramatic events from the political scene to natural calamities. And in the midst of it all, something was stirring in the air: a spark of patriotism and passion to see change in the nation. Ako Ay Pilipino comes as a timely response to Filipinos worldwide who are crying out for more.

We want to help change the mindset of Filipinos today, declaring their true identity as God intended them to be, and thus help fulfill the destiny that is theirs to claim.

We want to help change the mindset of Filipinos today, declaring their true identity as God intended them to be, and thus help fulfill the destiny that is theirs to claim.

Today, people are searching for the answers to many questions: “Who am I as a Filipino?” “Where am I going?” “What is my role in the Philippines?”

Obviously, one single movement cannot answer all of these questions. But as you hear about the rich history of this nation – where we have come and where we are going – we believe that it will begin to open the eyes of the Filipinos to the bigger picture of the Philippines’ place in the world today.
