Dear Church, We’re Not Doing All We Can To Reach The Unreached World

1024 576 David Joannes

It’s really quite simple.

Our mission from Jesus: go and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:18-20)

The results of our obedience: The end will come. (Matthew 24:14)

So how are we doing on “finishing the task”?

Well, 29% of the world still have never heard of Jesus.

No access to the gospel.
No Bibles.
No church.
No believers nearby.

There are roughly 400,000 cross cultural missionaries.

72% of missionaries go to the most reached countries.
25% of missionaries go to countries with access to the gospel.
3% of missionaries go to the unreached world.

What about money given to missions? Glad you asked.

87% of all money given to missions goes to the most reached countries.
12% of all money given to missions goes to countries with access to the gospel.
1% of all money given to missions goes to the unreached world.

To summarize: 3% of our global missionary force, armed with only 1% of missions giving, is going out to reach the 2 billion people who don’t have access to the gospel.
