Every day, our intentional acts of care and passion create ripples that enter into eternity.

But the problem is that we don’t always see where the ripples end up and who has been impacted by our sacrifice.

That’s why it is so encouraging to see the results of our direct—and indirect—advocacy.

Last year I met with the Free Burma Rangers staff, helping them create a platform for their online social media presence.

I have known David Eubank, the founder of this incredible organization, for over a decade. I first met him when I snuck across the China border to Myanmar, translating for Time Magazine Asia, and got caught by 100 AK-47 toting 16 year olds with the United Wa State Army. (Read about my adventures in The Trouser People by Andrew Marshall.)

The work that the Free Burma Rangers is doing in Myanmar is praiseworthy, and it was my honor to provide social media consulting for them.

Their stories were not being told on Facebook and Twitter, and during the meeting I shared some tips to get their social media ball rolling.

I am now thrilled to see their regular updates! Their field reports are full of interesting information on the tribes that are struggling to survive in Myanmar, and I am happy that there is now a broader reach and impact through their social media platforms.

I am passionate about helping worthy Christian organizations in the 10/40 Window tell their story better through web, film, design and social media.
