Script For Human Trafficking Film

I recently created a sex trafficking prevention film in Mandarin Chinese to be shown to middle and high school students around the nation. In less than six months there is well over 100,000 views, and it is still trending pretty heavily on Youku, China’s version of Youtube.

After its success in helping bring awareness to the issues of trafficking and forced prostitution in Asia, Eden Ministry asked me to help them create their new ministry promo.

Here’s a couple stories from the script in process.

“The first time I met Eden Ministry, I was beating a woman on the street. They walked up to me and told me that violence didn’t suit me, and that I was made for something better. I have never hit anyone since that divine encounter.” – former pimp

“The outreach team came into my brothel and told me about the love of Jesus. Then they gave me a Christmas present. I had never received a free gift before, so my heart just melted, surprised that God could love me even in a place like that.” – former prostitute with HIV

Sometimes when I listen to the etherial tones of Tony Anderson’s cinematic music, and consider storyboard imagery to coincide with this new anti-sex trafficking script, tears well up in my eyes.

“The shame of our generation is the resurgence of modern day slavery,” says the founder of Eden Ministry, “mothers, daughters, sisters who are sexually exploited because of poverty and fragile family situations. You and I have the responsibility to rescue and restore victims of trafficking and prostitution, and it’s up to this generation to right the wrong that been done…”
