I used to sleep in a Bible storage room. Newly printed Christian books, Bibles and gospel tracts were stacked as high as the ceiling, crowding my bunk bed into the corner. I worked with the Cobb family, pioneer missionaries to Hong Kong, who printed millions of pieces of literature in and out of China. I spent half a year at Bibleway Ministries, leading international Bible courier teams into China. I was eighteen, and it was a pivotal moment in my life. It was the beginning of my overseas expat life. My Mandarin skills began to take shape on chaotic Asian streets. I met a beautiful Filipina girl in that sweet summer of 1997 who would someday become my wife. Life would never be the same as the Cobb family and Bibleway Ministries, like a trampoline, helped launch me into China for the next decade and some change. Over the years, at bus stations and at taxi stands, in markets and in megacities, I would smell that familiar scent of hot black rubber and humidity mixed with smog—intrinsic to Hong Kong—and recall my early days in Asia. And every time I cracked the spine of a new book during my long travels, the aroma of subtle inky text would transport me to that Bible storage room at Bibleway Ministries. A Life Dedicated To Something GreaterSixteen years later, here I am in in Chiang Mai, Thailand, working with ActsCo Printing and the Cobb family, the same people who ran Bibleway Ministries all those years ago. Feels like I have come full circle. [slideshow_deploy id=’1462′] This week, I have just completed the ActsCo Printing website. It was a total revamp of the previous site. I wanted to bring a modern design edge to this business as mission company that I strongly believe in. The new ActsCo Printing website is a responsive design, highlighting portfolios of available products and featured print projects. I have also focused on a bunch of freebies that we give away, because who doesn’t like free stuff, right? The blog section will be regularly updated with information how ActsCo Printing empowers individuals, organizations, companies and non profits to tell their story better through high quality printing. You can also get a quote for your next print project right on the site. It was an honor working with ActsCo Printing to create a wonderful user experience for people wanting to print in Thailand and around the globe. From Hong Kong to Thailand, via China and the Philippines, this 16 year journey continues to amaze me. I am so thrilled to be a part of life transformation through web, film and design projects.
